Julia Pareja Cubero

Julia is a Spanish violinist, born in Seville. She started her musical studies at the age of 7 with the concertmaster of Seville Symphony Orchestra (ROSS), Tamara Bektemirova. At the age of 19, she moved to London to attend the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, where she undertook her Bachelor degree under the tutelage of the world-renowned Simon Fischer. During her degree, she focused on developing her chamber music skills and formed the Ivor String Quartet, which lead to participation in numerous competitions, recordings and performances in outstanding venues such as Milton Court and Wigmore Hall. She received coachings from remarkable chamber musicians such as Levon Chilingrian, Matthew Jones, and members of the Heath, Belcea and Endellion Quartets.

Julia has also had a strong drive for orchestral playing since a very young age. She was a member of Andalusia Youth Orchestra (OJA) for 8 years, where she often served as concertmaster. She has also collaborated with several professional orchestras such as Audeat Philharmonie in London.

Currently, Julia is pursuing her Masters degree at ArtEZ Conservatorium (Zwolle) with Professor Sarah Kapustin.
