Anouk Meijer

Anouk Meijer (1996) started playing the cello when she was five. Since then she has had several teachers, including Maria Hol and René Berman. She also played in string orchestras since she was eight, including the Dutch youth orchestra ‘JeugdOrkest Nederland’.

When she was seventeen, Anouk entered the ArtEZ Conservatory in Zwolle (NL) to study with René Berman. She has had masterclasses and lessons with Pieter Wispelwey, Marcio Carneiro, Gavriel Lipkind, Marie-Paule Milone, Jeroen Reuling and others. She also worked with contemporary composers such as Jacob TV and James MacMillan.

Anouk has had the honor of playing twice for the Dutch royal family and she has performed as a soloist in the Netherlands and abroad.
