Ana Belén López Lorente

Ana Belén López Lorente was born in Córdoba (Spain). She started her double bass studies at age of 8 with Ángel Santafé at the Conservatory of Córdoba. As a student of the Academy of Orchestral Studies of the Barenboim-Said Foundation she had lessons with Manfred Pertnutz and Joaquin Klier. She continued her studies with Jorge Muñoz at the Conservatory of Málaga, where she collaborated with the Symphony Orchestra (OSPM) and the Filharmonic Orchestra (OFM) of Málaga, the Andalusian Lyrical Theater Company, the Orchestra of Granada (OCG) and others. She has been a member of several youth orchestras like Youth Orchestra of Córdoba (OJC), Andalusian Youth Orchestra (OJA), Baroque Youth Orchestra of Andalusia (JOBA), National Youth Orchestra of The Netherlands (NJO). Ana loves playing chamber music and is a founding member of the Double Bass Ensemble of Málaga (ECM). She has also collaborated with the ensemble Elegance and the Camerata “Capricho Español”, with whom she recorded a CD. In 2017, she finished her studies at the Conservatory of Amsterdam, having worked with Peter Stotjin, Olivier Thiery, Rick Stotjin, Maggie Urquhart and Peter Leerdam. Currently she collaborates with the 430 Orchestra of Vigo, in their symphonic (OSV430) as well as baroque projects (OBV430).
